Torridon
Our tour starts here in the village of Torridon. Most of the houses lie along the road, perilously close to the steep slopes of Liathach which towers above. Indeed there is a legend that predicts the destruction of the village but we won't worry about that for now...
I was fortunate enough to live for a number of years in a house situated on the peninsula that you can see to the far left of this view. It is a very exposed situation and we suffered many sleepless nights when the gales blew around us, but the pure beauty of the place and living so close to the water easily outweighed any disadvantages.
